cyrus-common-2.4 software package provides Cyrus mail system - common files, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cyrus-common-2.4
cyrus-common-2.4 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cyrus-common-2.4 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cyrus-common-2.4 *
